The self-filing nail board your dog does themselves. Solid oak, built-in treat drawer, zero clippers required.

The board

What you're getting.

For the nails the board can't reach — dew claws, the awkward back paw, the dog who overgrew before you started.

A dial on the handle sets how far the blade can close: 1mm for a nervous first go, up to 3.5mm once you both trust it. You physically can't take more than you set — so no cutting into the quick, no yelp, no blood. The blade locks shut between uses so it's safe to leave in a drawer.

  • Adjustable depth guard — 1, 2, 2.5 or 3.5 mm, so you can't over-cut
  • Open / lock switch keeps the blade closed when it's not in your hand
  • Stainless steel blade, non-slip handle
  • One size — small dogs through large

The trim you do now and then. The board does the upkeep.

Why it's different

Not another trip to the vet.

Clippers Risk of cutting the quick, most dogs' least favorite thing.
Grinders Loud, vibrating, still requires holding their paw.
Vet / groomer Costs add up, still stressful for anxious dogs.
Scratchly Dog-led, voluntary, zero restraint, done on their own time.

Objections

The honest answers.

Will my dog actually use it?

Dogs are natural scratchers — the treat drawer gives them a reason to start, and the habit builds from there. Most dogs try it within the first day.

Is it durable enough for my dog?

Built from solid oak, designed to hold up to regular scratching. Not a chew toy — supervise use like any pet product.

Does this replace a full nail trim?

It handles regular maintenance filing between trims, and for many dogs replaces clipping altogether. For overgrown nails, start with a trim, then maintain with Scratchly.

Will it work for my dog's size?

One size fits most dogs comfortably scratching at floor height, from small breeds to large.

One board. One ritual, fixed.

Give nail day a reason to be a good day.
